Personal Identity - Assignment #2

Artsist Reflection:
In graphic design we did a project on personal identity. This project was for us to go get pictures for things we like and help describe us. The strongest technical aspect I used on my work was the colors I used. I think the different array of spontaneous colors looks good in this project also. I like the way the colors compliment each other especially on the sneakers. I think a technical aspect that can be improved in my work is the spacing on the project. This could be improved by me making things smaller or larger and positioning them in different ways to make some of the things on this project stand out more.

I found many things in this project to be easy and enjoyable. One thing that I found easy was the coloring, I also found this enjoyable because it was fun to color in the images that I liked. Another thing that was easy was finding the images. This was made very easy by going and looking for large images on google images. One thing I found difficult about this project though was getting rid of the white backgrounds for some pictures. One picture I had trouble doing this with was the pizza because it had part of it connected to the part I was removing.

I demonstrated the objective in this project by making it about my personal identity. The objective of this project is to show who you are and what you enjoy through pictures. I think I succeeded in doing this, because a lot of different things in the project has something to do with what I enjoy or do. If I was to do this project again I would add more pictures. I would do this to balance out the top part because it only has one thing up there. Overall I enjoyed this project and think it helps describes me a lot with the things that are in it.

Text Design- Assignment #1

Artist Reflection:
The first assignment we did was a text design with the letter of our choice. One of my strongest technical aspects of my work in this assignment was how I flipped and rotated my letters. I think this was good because it added a lot of originality to my project and made it very unique. A technical aspect I could improve on though would be the colors that I chose. I could have added more colors that are much brighter and florescent to contrast with my more darker color
scheme.  I think this would improve my overall project adding more original and contrasting colors making my art much better but it can do without it.

There was many different easy things about this project. The first thing I found easy was the flip tool. This was such an easy tool to use and it was so helpful in this project to keep everything symmetrical. It also added some creativity to my project because I could put different shapes and flip them and have them all symmetrical with the flip tool.  Something I found hard about this assignment is my colors I had to choose and background color I chose. I found this difficult because I didn't think anything looked good, this caused some problems. I decided to use green and keep making it darker but still having some lighter green to go along with the dark.

I demonstrated the objective in this assignment by using the radial symmetry. The objective of this assignment was to use your letter and make it exactly symmetrical on both sides. I demonstrated this by making my letter B the same on each side of the project. If I were to do this project again I would do a few things differently. One thing I would do differently is I'd pick different different, brighter colors to use in my project. Also I think I would make my design much different. I maybe wouldn't have as many Bs but I would make bigger ones but not as many. Finally I would change the opacity more if I was to redo this activity again.
